JudgedCold light filtered in through the windows of the room, casting long shadows on the floor. A girl in a sweater and jeans sat in a tall backed wood chair, her hands spread in front of her. Her dirt blonde hair was tucked back behind her ears, and her eyes pleaded with those gazing at her. They stood before her, behind a dark mahogany table, looking at her with a condemning glare. They were all sorts of ages, sizes, and dress. Children, maidens, and women in the prime of their lives. Once upon a time, there was a lovely young girl and she ran into a forest as black as night. She had hair that would sometimes seem bright as gold, and other times seem brown as wet sand. Her eyes would be as blue as a stormy sea, or as green as twining ivy. She laughed like the sun, and stormed like the thunder, and wept like gentle spring rain. She ran far away, into a forest as black as night.
